Milestone #2 - We bought a house!

Yes, we are officially grown ups now... we have a mortgage and are home owners.  Well technically, Wells Fargo owns a new house,  and they're letting us live in it. :)  We're very excited to have our own place and look forward to having lots of visitors.  Come visit us!  (but give us a few months to clean and furnish it.)

Here's how the evolution happened (starting from the bottom):

We got the keys, so it's officially ours!

Joy's favorite feature of the house, her own big walk-in closet!

Dan's favorite feature of the house, a paved backyard without any grass.  However,
he has been VERY concerned about having to water the tree.  Oh the responsibilities!

Almost there!  Just a few more finishing touches before it's ours.

We have walls and almost a roof

We came expecting to see a slab and were shocked to find three floors of framing!

Officially picking the lot we wanted

Mexico vs Venezuela

Some pictures of a recent football (aka soccer) game at the Reliant Stadium with the Kong family.  Papa Kong (and now Lilian, after living in Europe for a year) is a HUGE fan, and was SUPER excited to go to the game.  Unfortunately, only Dan and Joy got the memo that Mexico colors are red, white, and green.  Mexico won 3-0.  Go Mexico!

As Mama Kong so quickly observed, "I think they came for
a party than to watch the game."
